MISSION CONTROL

Your favorite place to get friendly

‘Love Of The Week’

Love -Nancy Peach

Posted by Gravity On June - 14 - 2010
Local artist, Nancy Peach, has been exhibiting her erotic art since 2008. Her style has been described as pop art reminiscent of the graphic styles of the 60′s featuring bold lines and luscious, vivid colors on over-sized canvases.

A dozen of Nancy’s large and luscious paintings will adorn the walls of Mission Control. Every room will feature at least one piece. Come out and explore the magic that these sensual images bring to each space they inhabit. We open this exhibit June 26th at Kinky Salon’s Pride celebration of creativity, diversity and perversity – the Kinky Salon San Fransexual Celebration!

Nancy took a few minutes from her busy schedule to answer our Love of the Week questionnaire:
Where are you originally from? What is your favorite thing about the City? Nancy Peach: I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. I came to San Francisco after ending up in Alaska. I came her because my younger sister was living here and she was diagnosed with Aids in 1992. My favorite thing is to create art and hang with my children.

What is your connection with Mission Control? NP: I attended Mission Control after an opening of my enormous painting unveiling at the San Francisco Armory. My first impression was that I would like to hang my art in Mission Control and I have made arrangements to hang for 6 months.

What’s a typical day at work like for you? NP: My typical day at work is to paint in oils on canvas. I eat, sleep and dream about making art. After I take my children to school I come home and paint for hours until they return.

What is your favorite type of work? What do you find most rewarding? NP: My favorite type of work is producing erotic artwork. Mostly because it is rewarding to create from the wonderful models that I have to paint. I love to create large luscious figurative work as it is so freeing. I do hope to someday get a studio where my children’s little eyes aren’t a concern so I can paint some really graphic images.
For now my work is quite reserved as I need to be discreet with my children.

Thank you for your support of Mission Control.  Do you have any words of wisdom for the sex-positive community? NP: I have so enjoyed being welcomed into the Sex Positive Community. I love to play and be played with. I have an open relationship with my husband with all honesty that has happened over the past 2 years. I’m very new to the Sex Positive Community and I would recommend being as open as possible to all possibilities in your relationships. I am constantly learning more and being exposed to great people in this community. I love the rope bondage, suspension and the free creative explorations.

Check out a sample of Nancy’s works below. See her web site for more info or just come on out to Kinky Salon on June 26 and meet the artist herself.

Love- Madame Butterfly

Posted by Gravity On May - 24 - 2010

Next time you’re at Mission Control, keep an eye out for Madame Butterfly. Odds are you’ll find her happily tying up someone very lucky.

Where are you originally from? Madame Butterfly: San Francisco, Born and Bred, there aren’t that many of us.

What is your favorite thing about the City? MB: No one bothers you, pretty much no matter what you want to do, rarely do you get any shit about it from anyone here. So not only are you free to so what you really want, there is no impetus to go waaay out of your way to impress the masses as there is in other areas. No one cares what color your hair is so you can make it whatever color you really want even if that is fluorescent Green.  There is no need to outdo anyone or anything.

What is your connection with Mission Control? MB: I’m an Alliance member and happy party attendee.

Madame Butterfly is an expert at tying ropes and making them
When did you first attend? MB: My first experience was Speakeasy Japan with Midori and Kiyoshi, I loved tying a couple people to the stipper pole and felt that the party was very well run and friendly.

What is your main focus, talent, or skill? MB: I am a fiber artist who has been spinning yarn and knitting and weaving for years. I’m a rope top because I can look at a harness and know how to tie it easily. I can knit a sweater so tying up a person with one rope at a time is a piece of cake for me. I’m also a singletail top because I love the sound of a whip cracking and I’m just a teeny bit sadistic.

What’s a typical day at work like for you? MB: Spinning rope, dyeing rope and taking care of the paperwork necessary for my small business.

What is your favorite type of work? MB: Working with my hands. I tend to fidgety anyway so I usually have *something* in my hands all the time.

Thank you for your support of Mission Control.  Do you have any words of wisdom for the sex-positive community? MB: You should always have *something* in your hands, in your mouth, in your…
