This month, Pink is on a special night to help kick off the Folsom weekend.  Come learn how to successfully navigate Folsom and get the most from your experience.  Then on Sunday, as the Fair winds down, come to Threshold:Rebound to chill out, key up, socialize, and play!

The Folsom Insiders Guide

Kick off your Folsom weekend with all the insider tips you need! Whether this is your first fair or your an old whip hand, Shay Blondie and Stefanos will help you make the most of your weekend amongst over 400,000 other kinksters at the world’s largest leather event, the Folsom Street Fair!

We will discuss logistics of the fair itself (parking & transportation, what to bring, not-to-be-missed activities) and options for what to do when you’re not dancing and playing in the streets. Of course while you’re partying with all these hot perverts from all over the world, you’re gonna want to do some pick up play- we’ll give specific tactics for meeting potential play partners, succinct negotiation for a safe, sexy, & successful first scene, and tips & tricks for both tops & bottoms to use when playing with new partners.

About the Presenters:

As Purveyors of Perversion, Stefanos and Shay are known for teaching classes that are entertaining (they’ve been called “better than a Vegas act”) and also packed with useful and applicable information. Together they host events and teach classes several times a month in SF Bay Area and beyond. Shay is an ER nurse by day, while Stefanos is all kink all the time in his professional life as the Steward of The Upper Floor on Kink.com and as DM and manager of Bondage-a-Go-Go. Having been named the King & Queen of Pervert’s Prom in 2006, they are compulsive volunteers within the leather community, and identify as pansexual polyamorist playsluts (and probably a few other P’s they haven’t thought of yet). They have performed, presented, and hosted events at venues around the country, including the SF Citadel, Dark Odyssey, Mission Control, Northwest Leather Celebration, KinkAcademy.com, the Exotic Erotic Ball, OpenSF, and in a number of documentaries across the world. Create hot exciting scenes with just 4 lengths of 9 foot rope. You bring the rope, he will teach you the dope and then comes the enactment of all your rope hopes! It is going to get knotty around here folks!

About the Presenter:

TomFoolery started doing rope bondage 10 years ago. Since then it has become an integral part of who he is. It is sexual and also a spiritual practice. It is a creative outlet and artistic expression. He is also a photographer, and has done extensive suspension work. He likes doing rope bondage and suspensions in quiet indoor settings, noisy nightclubs, at burning man, outdoors in the woods or off of bridges. His style is fusion bondage. It mixes traditional Shibari with Western and Celtic influences.
He is a member of Suspended Animation, and has performed at the Supperclub in SF, Cannibal Flower in LA, and many other events and venues. His photographs have been featured at Cannibal Flower Shows in LA, San Francisco Erotic Art Exhibition and his work will be in the upcoming Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. He has given workshops at The North West Leather Celebration and other events.

Keeping Play Parties Playful!!

Play parties are supposed to be about play, right? But it’s hard to feel playful when intense negotiation, underlying fear, overwhelming awkwardness, or just plain not knowing what to do come to the forefront. When you’re a newbie to the scene, it can be hard to know what to expect, or how to act. Even when you’ve been “out and about” a good bit, each play party has its own culture to be learned. Knowing how to negotiate a play party with grace and ease will keep you from getting caught with your pants down — or up!
Fortunately, there are some quick and easy ways to get your bearings and get your “adult” groove on. In this lighthearted playshop, we’ll get into:
  • the basic do’s and don’t's of play parties
  • and what to do when you don’t know what to do!
  • some easy ways to dip your toes in without feeling overwhelmed
  • the basics of play party negotiation — with your partner and new friends
  • and a fun and fabulous introduction to your next potential playmate

So bring a PAL and come to Pink early!

PrePink Playshop: Bind Without Twine

Every Pink party launches with a playshop free for party goers. This month we learn a little about freestyle bondage.

Bind without Twine: Bondage Ad Libitum!

Whether you don’t own rope or just want to experiment with something a little more unexpected, this class will have something for you! We will succinctly discuss safety and negotiation for restraint, then jump right into involving you in creating bondage with unconventional materials. From the expected (neckties, belts) to the less cliche (the clothes off their backs, nylons, pillowcases, necklaces), this playshop will look at a large variety of “found” bondage implements and how to apply these safely and creatively. Just wrapping a pair of pantyhose around your partner’s hands isn’t going to cut it- we will cover the entire process, from specific application guidelines (including variations like limb to limb bondage vs tying off to furniture), execution in context, setting and maintaining a “mood” for your scene (from silly to sadistic), all the way to aftercare and follow-up. Then practice what you learned at Pink after the playshop- no extra supplies required!

About the presenter:

JDelicious aka JD has been a certified Sexuality Educator for over 10 years and teaching sex education for 20 years.  She earned her Masters of Divinity, Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA with a concentration in human sexuality and theology. She is known for her quick wit and her ability to bring respectful hilarity to the topic of human sexuality.  She was formerly the volunteer coordinator for St. James Infirmary, SF’s sex worker health clinic. She currently is teaching sex education to over 3000 students of San Francisco’s public schools each. She also has been trained by the Body Electric School as sacred intimate and teaches erotic massage techniques to San Francisco’s sex positive party communities.

Presenter: Allison Moon

Allison Moon is a writer and sex educator based in Oakland. She is the creator of the classes Girl Sex 101, Pegging for Tops, Buckle Up! Strap-On Basics, and is a frequent collaborator with sex-ed genius, Reid Mihalko, on classes such as Pegging 101, Slut/Slut-Lite: Navigating Sexually Disparate Partnerships, and the Full-Body Kiss. She’s taught at the Center for Sex and Culture, Tristan Taormino’s Dark Odyssey, Pure Pleasure in Santa Cruz, Sexy Spirits in New York City, Burning Man, and of course at Mission Control! In addition to sex-ed, Allison teaches publishing and writing classes. Lunatic Fringe, a queer werewolf story, is her first novel. She’s currently working on the sequel.
