For Spring Equinox 2012, we have been invited by Carol Karasik of the Maya Exploration Center in Palenque to bring together visionaries, artists, deep thinkers, poets, scientists, healers, passionate souls, change agents, cocreators, mythic players, culture builders and experience designers from all over the world to an incredible rainforest location! This is your invitation to help us raise funds and awareness for this vision- a FREE festival in Mexico produced by the founders of Mission Control. With our love of Maya history and culture we are honored to be celebrating this significant date in their mythic cosmology.

We have been absolutely blown away by the amazing people who have shown up to participate in this benefit! On the surface, Blues dance looks like a slower, sexier version of the Lindy Hop and Swing dancing. Beneath that cursory view is a depth of connection, expression, and tension in the dance between partners and the music they’re moving to that goes well beyond the simple steps.

Our Teacher:
Aaron is a local Blues dance enthusiast and Pink regular, excited to bring these two worlds together. His class will demonstrate the Blues dance basic steps, and focus on the environment of the dance: asking a potential dance partner out onto the dance floor, establishing connection, expressing movement intention, the polarity of leading and following, and exploring how to carry an incredible dance off the floor and into the Pink space.

Stay on then to practice your steps on the Pink dance floor as we launch the party with a sexy, bluesy set.

Comfortable and sexy attire recommended. Please do not wear high heels.
