Trickster is a creator, a joker, a truth teller, a story teller, a transformer linked to the spiritual frequency changes humanity is experiencing at this time.

“We seem most accessible to the synchronistic gifts of the Trickster when we ourselves are at or near boundaries or are experiencing transition states, periods of major life transitions seem to be occasioned by an abundance of meaningful coincidence. Personal gtrirowth sees not only to facilitate synchronicity, but in turn to be facilitated by it. As an archetype, the Trickster, the boundary dweller, finds expression through human imagination and experience.”

Mission Control Presents:

The League

A Gentleman’s Convivial Evening For All Genders

Wednesday, March 23, 2011 |8pm -Midnight

Mission Control events are for members only | Become a member, it’s free and instant

Cost: $10 for Members | Free for Allies

Whoever or whatever you are in your daily life, groom your inner gentleman and enjoy the trappings of masculinity. Or, if you so wish, slip into your inner lady of the evening and be the life of the party. We invite all men of refinement, shady ladies, fops, dandies, femmes fatales, muses, butches, quaintrelles, movie-stars, and otherwise nattily dressed persons into our inner circle. So put on the dog and come enjoy the company of San Francisco’s elegantly bawdy gentlemen. Swirl the brandy, puff your cigar, play at cards, and see the midnight cabaret (which starts promptly at 10:15, since it’s a weeknight).

Gentlemen, dare to be dapper. Jacket and tie, ascot, or cravat. Smoking jackets a plus. Pinstripes and wingtips. Tuxedo formal. Pocket squares and cufflinks. A stingy-brim fedora or jaunty fez. Mustaches, real or painted on.

Ladies, dress to entice. Wiggle dresses, backless gowns, vintage lingerie. Fur coats and mink stoles. Garters and backseams. Old fashion burlesque. A little va-va-voom.

Or, of course, any combination of the above. This is San Francisco, after all.

Private Event. No alcohol will be served. 21 and over only (we check ID!)

Femina Potens at MC

Posted by Gravity On February - 22 - 2011

In 2011, Mission Control is home to many exciting Femina Potens events.  Femina Potens, which means “powerful woman” in Latin, conducts multidisciplinary programs that authentically explore the experiences of women, transgendered persons and others living outside the female-male gender binary. Their year-round visual arts exhibitions, media arts events, public arts projects, performances and educational programs explore a wide range of LGBT community issues.

At Femina Potens, the paramount vision is empowerment: empowerment for the artist, the viewer, and the community by creating a safe space where gender and sex is naturally fluid and changing. They are dismantling the rigid barrier between audiences and artists and forming an allied community based upon understanding through art.

Mission Control is delighted to be home to many of their events and classes, including:

Sizzle: FP’s Award winning open mic, spoken word, performance evening.
Fist Full of Film
: An evening of film & filmmakers with opportunities for Q&A.
Art of Restraint
: A Decadent evening of Bondage Art Experiences featuring rope artists and performances.

Plus Femina Potens will offer classes and workshops on a range of art, sex, and kink related topics.

Mission Control Allies get free or reduced entry to many FP events.  Look for details of these events on the Mission Control’s site and Twitter.

She regularly does self suspensions, and can be found performing at many local clubs and venues.

Jenn Cross is an experienced group facilitator and has been certified in the Amherst Writers & Artists method.

She received her MA in Transformative Language Arts at Goddard College, where she studied and wrote about the ways in which erotic writing can be used as a tool for sexual- and self-healing.
